Peter LaMonica open a small seafood shop that specialized at fresh locally harvested seafood. As business thrived, the demand for fresh seafood increased. To meet this challenge, Peter expanded into the fishing business. Today, in it’s third generation, LaMonica Fine Foods is the largest “hand shucking“ clam operation in the United States, and still holds true to their grandfather‘s motto, “Quality is a family tradition”.
